EC2 for Poets was officially announced on March 21st 2009. These are instructions on setting up a server on Amazon EC2 service. What’s interesting about these instructions is that it was writtern in laymen’s terms by writer Dave winer, and he was able to have things up and running in 20 minutes (+30 minutes for the setup to actually go through at Amazon). This might be of interest to anyone who wanted to get a better understanding of Amazon Web Services, or cloud computing.
On a side note, when can we see a “Cataloging for Poets” or “Integrated Library Systems for Poets” instructions. Any volunteers 😉
