CONSER’s Basic Serials Cataloging Workshop

One of the instructors for this workshop is Marguerite (Maggie) Horn, a SMART member who recently had the Cataloging 411 workshop at the NYLA Conference 2006.

Workshop Locations and Times:

• February 27 & 28 in Albany at the Nylink offices
• March 14 & 15 at Mid-Manhattan Library

Each two-day workshop runs from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 pm. Registration and check-in starts at 8:30 a.m.

Registration deadlines:

Registration is limited to 25 participants.

• Registration for Albany, must be received by February 13, 2007
• Registration for NYC, must be received by February 28, 2007

NYLA Librarian Guest Appearance on Unshelved

One of the fundraising raffles during the NYLA conference this year was a walk-on appearance on the library comic strip Unshelved. Here is the comic strip with a walk-on by Barbara Nichols-Randall, director of the Guilderland Public Library in Guilderland, NY. Congratulations Barbara!
